This regional financial institution has partnered with KnowledgeWave for over 5 years, and serves customers across multiple locations in multiple states. They have departments with significantly different roles, including frontline staff, operations, and administrative teams. Like many organizations in regulated industries, this client relies heavily on Microsoft 365 to support daily work while maintaining strict standards for data protection, privacy, and compliance. KnowledgeWave has supported their adoption of Microsoft 365 for years. So, when they were looking for guidance for usage of AI, specifically Microsoft 365 Copilot, they naturally turned to KnowledgeWave.
The Bank saw uneven Copilot adoption, with employees using different features across Microsoft 365. At the same time, strict requirements around data protection, PII, and responsible AI use raised concerns about risk. AI training was harder due to limited frontline availability, and leaders needed confidence that Copilot Chat could be introduced in a way that fit existing workflows.

Do you know the difference between Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot?
KnowledgeWave has partnered with the Bank for many years to provide software training services, so developing this project together was a natural extension of the long-term training relationship. We proposed a series of live, private Microsoft Copilot training sessions tailored to both frontline and back‑office employees, while keeping IT governance front and center. We discussed their governance strategy with them, determined readiness, delivered role-based Copilot training, and helped build habits and establish on-going training for team members (steps 2, 3 and 4 of our proven AI Enablement Framework).
This first live training session combined modern file management best practices with an introduction to Copilot Chat. Employees learned how to work more efficiently with files and content, followed by safe, policy‑aligned ways to use AI for summarizing and drafting work products and generating ideas.
Employees with a license for Microsoft 365 Copilot were also provided a focused training session demonstrating Copilot inside M365 applications. Examples reflected common bank workflows, with repeated reinforcement that AI output should always be reviewed and validated.
To support long‑term adoption, recorded sessions and a short studio-produced Copilot training video were added to the Bank’s KnowledgeWave video training library, making the content accessible to new and existing team members going forward.
Through their KnowledgeWave Learning Service subscription, Bank employees have access to monthly live training webinars and thousands of recoded training videos on AI, Copilot, and other Microsoft 365 topics, providing them with ongoing learning for the newest capabilities.
