excel_2013_55Creating charts to show off your data visually is one of the most common uses of Microsoft Excel. If you’ve ever spent a lot of time developing that perfect chart consisting of style, flow and graphic enhancements, you might like to reuse it at some point! This video shows you how to save and utilize chart templates, saving you time and guesswork as you recreate your masterpiece with new or existing spreadsheet data.

This is a simple task that our Excel Expert will guide you through in under 2 minutes and is guaranteed to save you loads of time and effort in the future! By using this awesome feature you won’t need to spend time recreating charts in Excel or copy-pasting the same old chart and then having to delete all of the old data each time you need to make a new chart.

Once you create that masterpiece of a chart, you can save that chart as a chart template (*.crtx) in the charts template folder for easy access! You can reuse them and even share your template with others, promoting the consistency and standardization that you or your company desires. Another awesome benefit of utilizing this feature is that you can change the chart type of an existing chart by applying a chart template, again, saving you time and maintaining consistency!
