KLS Demo 2

Welcome to the KnowledgeWave Learning Site (KLS)! The purpose of this blog post is to help new KLS users navigate the KnowledgeWave Learning Site.

As you come into our Learning Site, the first thing you'll see is our Dashboard, which contains much of our content and is set up in a very flexible manner.

You'll notice that our learning videos come in three sizes: Quick Bites, Skill Ups, and Belts (small, medium, and large). Please feel free to watch the Demo video below as you read along!

The KLS Dashboard

As you can see, the KLS Dashboard is divided into multiple sections; each section is appropriately titled based on the type of content that it contains. With the ability to fully customize your Dashboard, sections can be specifically named. For example, at the top of your organization's KLS Dashboard, it could say "Start Here" or "Recommended Content", while other sections can be named after the type of content they contain, like "SharePoint", "OneDrive for Business" or "Microsoft Teams".

There are also sections that include all of our recorded webinars, our most popular content, or our newest learning videos. Anytime you see "View More" you can dig further into that section to explore all the options!

As we mentioned before, our videos are delivered in different sizes:

  • Quick Bites: How to perform a specific task within an application and are typically just a few minutes long.

  • Skill Ups: A more in-depth look at a function of an application. They can range anywhere from 3 minutes to an hour. Most are approximately 45 minutes.

  • Belts: Belts are like taking a course. They are set up, kind of like a book. They're divided into chapters and we'll lead the viewer through many aspects of an application.

When a video is played, even for just a second, that video will go into the "In-Progress" section of the dashboard. Users can place as many "In-Progress" videos into that bucket as they want. It's a great way to save videos to be watched later. When a video is completed, it will move out of in progress and down into the "Completed" video section.

When a video is completed, users will earn an achievement. All achievements can be viewed under the "View All Achievements" banner. Additionally, all completed Belts come with a certificate of completion that can be printed out.

The KLS Video Library

The KnowledgeWave Learning Site Library contains over 2500 learning videos that cover a variety of content related to Microsoft 365 including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and all Microsoft legacy applications. Additionally, KLS contains content covering Computer Security Awareness, Professional Development, and QuickBooks.

When searching the KLS Library for certain topics, the Library will show up to 25 videos per page, while also detailing what type of video it is (either a Quick Bite, Skill Up, or Belt).

Additionally, it will give you a quick description of what's involved in that video as well as the length of the video. At the bottom of the page, you'll find the total number of videos that we offer on any specific topic.

KLS also comes with a built-in content 'Search Bar', which allows users to search for videos covering the exact content that they are looking to learn more about. You can also use the 'Search' function to filter by specific applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.). All you have to do is choose the application that you're interested in and hit 'Apply Filter'.

Live Events & Webinars

Included within KLS is access to all of our Live Webinars, which you can find under the 'Live Events' tab. This page is regularly updated and will contain all of our live, upcoming webinars for the upcoming month. Users will also have the capability to register for these upcoming webinars directly from this page of the Learning Site.

All KnowledgeWave webinars are FREE for our members to attend. We will send out two webinar newsletters each and every month to let all KLS users know what topics will be covered in the coming weeks.

Again, webinars are quite simple to register for. From this page, you can just click on the webinar you want to attend and then click "Register Now". You will receive a confirmation email letting you know that you have successfully registered for your desired event. Once the confirmation e-mail has been sent, you can add the webinar right into your calendar as an additional reminder.

All of our KLS Member webinars are recorded so if you are unable to attend a live event but are interested in the topic, feel free to register as an attendee! All registered Members will receive an e-mail with a link to the webinar recording once it has been posted to the KnowledgeWave Learning Site.

KLS Customer Support

If you are in KLS and need to contact us for any reason, for instance, if there's a topic that you're looking for, you have a question about an upcoming live webinar, or if you just need help with something (perhaps a suggestion for a video to watch), you can connect with us through our website chat tool located in the lower right corner of the screen.

It's not a chatbot; it's ALWAYS a live human on the other end. The KnowledgeWave Customer Success & Support team will respond to you as soon as possible!

You can also get in touch with us via email: support@knowledgewave.com.

Account Admin Information

The "Account" tab is the KLS Administration area. Permission to access this tab is typically only given to a few members of your organization.

You can track the learning activity and accomplishments of all your members from this tab. You can also view your organization's real-time return on investment (ROI). All of this information is also available in detailed Excel reports that you can export as a CSV.

As an Admin, from this tab, you can change up the content that is promoted on your users' dashboards. You can also add and remove members from this tab at any time.

Once again, welcome to the KnowledgeWave Learning Site! We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with you toward your training goals. We constantly strive to make your time with us a first-class learning experience. We wish you all happy and successful learning!
