Microsoft has introduced a new URL as part of its rebranding of the Microsoft 365 experience. The updated web address for the Microsoft 365 Copilot app is m365.cloud.microsoft. This aligns with Microsoft’s broader move to unify its services under the cloud.microsoft domain.

If you visit the old URLs like office.com or microsoft365.com, they’ll automatically redirect you to the new one. So you don’t need to update your bookmarks just yet—but it’s a good heads-up that the branding and access points are evolving.

Here’s what’s changed and why it matters.

A More Streamlined Homepage
When users sign in now, they’re greeted with a cleaner, more intuitive layout. Key apps and documents are easier to access, and the new interface feels more like a modern dashboard than a list of shortcuts. It’s designed to help users get where they need to go faster, without hunting around.

Copilot Has Its Own Space
One of the biggest highlights of this update is the dedicated Copilot app tile right on the home screen. Microsoft is continuing to invest in Copilot as the go-to AI companion across Microsoft 365. This placement makes it easier for users to explore and start using Copilot in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other tools without needing to dig through menus.

Improved Navigation for Busy Users
Whether you’re switching between Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, or your OneDrive files, the new experience helps you move through the Microsoft 365 ecosystem with less friction. It’s especially useful for organizations that rely heavily on these tools for collaboration and productivity.

What This Means for End Users and Admins
For end users, this is a welcome usability boost. For IT admins and trainers, it’s a good opportunity to check in with teams and offer quick guidance or updated onboarding around the new layout and features—especially Copilot, which many users still have questions about.

As Microsoft 365 continues to evolve, small updates like this one play a big role in improving the day-to-day experience. If you haven’t explored the updated Office.com homepage yet, it’s worth taking a few minutes to see what’s new.
